Restaurant Kaufleuten Zurich

Restaurant Kaufleuten, Zurich By reading about the restaurant Kaufleuten in Zurich, I was keen on checking the menus, testing the dishes and the ambiance. The restaurant and the interior is a mix between luster, mirrors and different chairs. I cannot define, which style it represents, but it’s somehow cozy. The menu card delighted me. There were vegetarian dishes available. I love roasted vegetables very much. I like the al dente style, but this version was a bit too much al dente. The tarragon foam turned into a sauce. I prefer to get a separate bowl for the sauce. So I can choose the quantity. The pasta with truffles and mushrooms was delicious. The dessert, the supreme part, was disappointing. I did expect more creativity. The apple with sour cream was nice presented on the plate, the caramel plum dessert with caramel peanut ice cream was not. Nevertheless I would recommend the restaurant.

The restaurant Ruenthai in Thalwil is a small restaurant with an excellent Thai kitchen. The waitress is nice and friendly. Hot meals can be ordered also in a European spiced version, not too hot. Great information for all those, who work near the Kappeli, Badenerstrasse 582 Tram station: There is a take away of the Ruenthai restaurant. During lunch time a selection of menus can be bought there. The spicy papaya salad is definitely my favorite one. Also the bean curd dishes are delicious.
