Apple Pumpkin Pie

For the cake, grate 200 g pumpkin and 2 apples. Crush cardamom, cinnamon and ginger finely. Melt 150 g butter in a pan. Add the grated orange peels. Cream 4 eggs with 350 g sugar. Add the spices and a pinch of salt. Mix 200 g white flour and 1 tablespoon baking powder and add to the egg-sugar mixture. Add the pumpkin and the grated apples. 

Brush a springform pan with butter and dust with flour. Add the mixture. 

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Put the cake in the oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes. Take it out and let it cool on the cake rack. Sprinkle with icing sugar. 

Shopping list for a cake about 26 cm in diameter, 1 small pumpkin, about 400 g (butternut), 2 apples, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, 1 pinch of salt, 200 g flour, 1 P. Baking powder, 350 g sugar (cane sugar), 150 g butter, 1 orange, 4 eggs. For the vegan variant, egg substitutes and vegetable margarine can be used.
