Yesterday the food and lifestyle blogger evening took place in Zurich, sponsored by local.ch. The sweet start and the tasty end attracted some of the food & lifestyle bloggers.

Chocolates – Fine address for sweet tooth!

Meeting point was Max Chocolatier in Zurich located near the St. Peter. A fine address for sweet tooth! Each chocolate is hand crafted with seasonal ingredients. The repertoire is focused on the four seasons of the year. Not each chocolate flavor can be bought during the whole year. So the chocolate flavors will be connected to a season. It’s like a limited edition. What a nice idea! The opening of the first store in Lucerne was at the 27. September 2009. Meanwhile there are several boutiques around.

During the aperitif at Max Chocolatier, Christina form Amazee Metrics gave an inside of the search engine optimization, a very interesting topic especially for bloggers! Many thanks to Christina!

Signature of elegance!

After the sweet start the group moved to the hotel Widder. There Rene Bruggraber, the director of marketing, welcomed us in the hotel lounge. We had a private tour behind the scene of the hotel Widder. The building was renewed years ago. The outcome is a beautiful unique luxury boutique hotel in the middle of Zurich. There is a high standard between antique and modern. Lots of eye catchers can be found in each suite. Curtain patterns made with a special laser technology, Eames chairs in the rooms, walnut parquet and carpets harmonized with the wooden floor. The hotel does connect three houses, so many of the rooms do have an individual layout. Modern and old stone work has been combined perfect. It’s the signature of elegance from Tilla Theus the architect.

Veggies at the butcher’s edge!

Veggies at the butcher’s edge! After the tour, we stopped by in the restaurant AuGust which is also located in the Hotel Widder. The August is well known for the meat dishes. The August is the newcomer restaurant and the Master 2016 in the Best of Swiss Gastro Guide. Staff working in luxury hotels, are the perfection in hospitality, so was the host Rene from the Widder Hotel. Even in the butcher’s edge vegetarian dishes have been served for two of us. Thank you very much.
